WHY IS PROPHECY SO IMPORTANT TO CHRISTIANS?

The use of prophecy in a writing will prove or disprove its truth.   When a book includes prophecy then the stated prophecy must come true or the writing is false.   In 1 Thes. 5: 20-21,“Despise not prohpesyings.  Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”   God tells us to prove His writings, and this is done through His prophecy.

The Word of God, our Bible, has hundreds of prophecies both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament.  The Bible is proven by the inerrant accuracy of His prophecy.  Our Bible is the only “sacred book” that uses prophecies.  Why??  Because prediction of future events proves the “truth” of that book’s writings.  Prophecy is only true when it becomes actual history.  This is why we call prophecy “history written in advance”.  Since the bible has many, many prophecies that have already become historical facts, then all this proves that the Word of God, our Bible is Divinely inspired.

Only God can tell how many future events are going to unfold inerrantly.  Many may tell about future events, but only God tells of many events without any errors.  This gives proof beyond any doubt that the Bible is true.  God tells us to prove His word and then gives us prophecy to use as the tool that does exactly that.   Amazing this God of mine.

In articles to come will tell of prophecies fulfilled and prophecies to be fulfilled.  Have a nice day, God Bless and thanks for reading.

  • Do You Know Christ?

Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin. Through Him we can know and experience God's love and plan for our life.

"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."

My prayer is that you study, learn, and grow, in your Journey to know Christ.

    My Friend, He knows You!
