TWO PLACES WHERE THE BIBLE DIVIDES
Here are two places that the Bible divides in half. The first is in Psalms 118 verse eight which is called the center of the Bible. There are just as many verses to come as have already been. This verse can also be the very center of one’s Christian life. “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Trust the LORD above all else, this is our faith. And always put the LORD first, the only time we can get ahead is when we remember to get behind the LORD.
The second is in Book of Revelation. Many have asked where does the first half of Revelation ends and the second half, or the “great tribulation” begin. Well there are 22 chapters in Revelation with a total of 404 verses. Naturally should we divide 22 in half the first eleven would be the first half and the 12th chapter would start the second half. Or if we went by verses, then 202 would end the first half, which happens to be chapter 12, verse 8. Therefore, verse 9 would start the second half.
What happens in the 9th verse of chapter 12? “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”. Up until this time Satan has had access to heaven. My wife made the comment that she wondered why God had not forbidden Satan access to Heaven before this time? This is a something that I cannot answer, therefore I just quote Isaiah 55:8, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”
